Weather Forecasts

Monday, April 15th Forecast: A seasonal and windy week on the way!

Tonight: Low temperatures tonight will stay above normal in the upper 50's and lower 60s, with higher humidity levels to kick off Tuesday morning. Winds are staying strong, around 15 to 25 mph and gusting as high as 35 mph at times. Skies will begin to fill in overnight to mostly cloudy by the morning.

Tuesday: The first thing you'll notice is again, strong winds for most of the Big Country. They'll stay anywhere from 15 to 25 mph, and gusting around 35 mph at times. Skies will also be cloudier than Monday, staying mostly cloudy/partly sunny all day. High temperatures will reach up into the mid to upper 70's, but generally stay out of the 80's thanks to that cloud cover.

Future Weather Discussion: Looking beyond Tuesday, our next potential weather event will be Wednesday. Currently, a strong upper level low-pressure system will push through the area, bringing with it a cold front and dry-line that is expected to, currently, set up east/southeast of the Big Country.

There is still quite a bit of uncertainty as to where exactly this dry-line sets up on Wednesday. Currently, most of the central/southeastern parts of Texas is under a slight (2/5) and enhanced (3/5) risk. This exact area is liable to change heading into tomorrow and the day of. If the dry-line shrinks back towards the Big Country, that slight/enchanced risk could also follow it, leading to possible severe weather in more of the Big Country. Stay tuned for updates!

After Wednesday, winds will remain pretty strong and breezy through the rest of the week with temperatures hovering from the upper 60's to the lower 80's.
