This Morning: Heavy to moderate showers are moving south to north across the Big Country this morning. Flooding will be a concern as as much as 1″-3″ of additional rainfall could fall in isolated locations across the region through today. Grab the umbrella heading out the door, and give yourself a couple extra minutes heading off to work as roads will be slick. Temperatures are cool too, around 70° across the Big Country with overcast skies. There is an 80% chance of showers through the morning.
This Afternoon: Heavy to moderate showers will continue through lunchtime today. By the late afternoon though, rain chances will start to taper off from south to north across the Big Country. However, heavy rain will still be possible with will continue to lead to areas of localized flooding. Rain and cloud cover will keep temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s this afternoon. A southerly wind may become breezy at times this afternoon, as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: Rain chances will continue to taper off into the evening and overnight. Eventually becoming a 20% chance for lingering showers tonight. Skies will stay mostly cloudy as temperatures cool down to around 70° again with a southerly wind around 5 to 15 mph.
Looking Ahead: We will hang onto a 20% chance for isolated showers on Tuesday, mainly in the northeastern Big Country. More sunshine tomorrow will help temperatures warm back into the upper 80s and lower 90s as warmer air continues to make its way back in. Rain chances end by Tuesday night. Temperatures return to the mid 90s to wrap up the week. Another chance for rain possible on Sunday.
