*A Flood Warning is still in effect for the Colorado River through Ballinger until 6:15 a.m. Friday. The river is expected to rise to 18.7′. Minor flooding is forecast.
Watch for areas of patchy, dense fog on your morning commute thanks to high humidity from heavy rainfall the last couple of days. Fog will mix out by mid morning. Temperatures are in the 50s for most across the Big Country. Grab the sunglasses again today as we’ll see plenty of sunshine and highs back into the 80s. A very weak cold front will move across the Big Country today, keeping us slightly cooler for Friday.
Warm weather returns for the weekend, along with breezy conditions especially on Saturday. Some forecast models want to bring a weak cold front in on Sunday, but have opted to keep it warm for now still.
We will be watching our next chance for rain starting Tuesday next week. Still a lot of dissagreement between forecast models again that far out, however it is looking like we will see another chance for scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms as we head into the middle of next week.
